The Tea Party/AFP/Corporations...(all the same)
want to "teabag" the economy

The tea bagging party of corporate fascist (GOP) still want the middle class to pay for "their" mongoloid economic scheme. They still think that shoveling money out the back door to their corporate base that cause the economic meltdown without making them pay for it is a sound economic policy. The GOP still is spending like drunken sailers on leave while blaming everyone but themselves is going to fly in the public eye. It is time to permanently vote out the Republican Party!!!

Hey, Tea Party/AFP/Corporations...(all the same)

Those who believe the founders intended the United States to be a Christian nation, for example, should consult the writings of the deist Thomas Jefferson or note the appalling views of Boston patriot Samuel Adams, who thought religious tolerance should apply to everyone except Catholics. Benjamin Franklin's views on taxation and private property would sound downright Marxist if Karl Marx hadn't been born after they were written. All of these men signed the Declaration of Independence 235 years ago today.

Support the Public Option Act HR-4789 Introduced by Rep. Alan Grayson
Congressman Alan Grayson introduced HR-4789 on March 10th on the floor of the House of Representatives. This Bill does not require Federal Subsidies or set up a very costly whole new Federal Health System. HR-4789 is a simple 4 page Bill that opens up Medicare so that any American or Permanent Resident may buy in. This is the Public Option as a stand alone Bill.

Please join Democrats.com nationwide movement to keep Corporations out of politics.
In January, five radical Republicans on the Supreme Court overturned 100 years of American law. They gave huge corporations a Constitutional right to spend unlimited amounts of money to elect candidates at all levels, from Mayor to President.
As President Obama declared in his State of the Union address, this ruling "will open the floodgates for special interests – including foreign corporations – to spend without limit in our elections. I don't think American elections should be bankrolled by America's most powerful interests, or worse, by foreign entities. They should be decided by the American people." In 2009, the Chamber of Commerce spent $145 million to defeat healthcare and global warming laws - twice as much as the Democratic Party. In November, they could spend 10 or 100 times as much simply to defeat all Democrats.

The Weiner Takes On Fox News
Over the last six months, there has been a single-minded effort to destroy health care reform. Fox and the Republicans have been lying to their supporters about everything from death panels to abortion coverage, and we’ve seen the impact their propaganda has had on this process. Anthony is going to keep standing up to the Republicans, FOX, and special interests, but we need your help to show them that we’re not about to back down. Rush a contribution to Anthony’s campaign. Even as little as $5 from you shows the Republicans that they won’t scare us into submission.

Fox & Fakes falsely claimed Hoyer supports raising the top tax rate to 70%
On March 3, Fox & Fakes distorted a Hill article on House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer's recent comments about deficit reduction to repeatedly falsely claim that "some Democrats want you to hand over 70 percent of everything you make." In fact, Hoyer and the Hill article they cited said no such thing.

Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace allowed Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to criticize legislative reconciliation
Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace allowed Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to criticize legislative reconciliation as arrogant without noting that McConnell has repeatedly supported the use of reconciliation in the past. McConnell voted in favor of the Bush tax cuts in 2003 and 2005 using reconciliation and supported reconciliation to pass legislation that would have allowed oil drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

Tea Bagger complains after getting a taste of his own medicine
There's a place where people on the right and people on the left are exactly alike: At the extremes. They share the same belligerence, bad behavior and ill-manners. And the same hypocrisy: It's never bad behavior when they do it, only when the other side does it. Notice that its not us....that sleeps with corporations....

How can health care reporting get worse? Lie about abortion rights in the bill!!!
Those claims are incorrect: The proposed legislation would have maintained the status quo. But it isn't really a legislative concession, as the preferred outcome of abortion-rights opponents -- an outright ban on abortion -- is unconstitutional, and thus off the table.

(Nov, 13,2009) Fox News? lies again!!!
Fox Nation pushes Limbaugh's false claim that Obama is "purging Republicans from civil service". Fox Nation advanced the false claim pushed by RedState.com's Erick Erickson and repeated by Rush Limbaugh that President Obama is, in Fox Nation's words, "Purging Republicans from Civil Service."

We will hold you accountible!!!
We at "Americansforrealprosperity" will make sure that any Democrats and All Republicans that vote against Health care reform be held accountible for their actions. We will make sure that you are voted out in the 2010 elections or as soon as your (the ones that voted against it) elections come up.

Experts debunk conservative media's claim that health reform proposals are unconstitutional!!!
Conservative media outlets including The Washington Times and Fox News have pushed the claim that health care reform proposals under consideration by Congress are unconstitutional. However, legal scholars -- including one who recently served as a special counsel to Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) during Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor's confirmation proceedings -- have pointed out the flaws in conservatives' arguments, including the facts that regulation of the health care sector falls under Congress' broad power to regulate interstate commerce and that Congress has repeatedly passed laws regulating health care and health insurance.

U.S. Rep. Paul Broun just doesn't get it!!
U.S. Rep. Paul Broun introduced his own health care reform bill last week that would, among other things, privatize the Medicare insurance program for seniors.
One of the great success stories of the modern American welfare state has been the Medicare system, which — since 1966 — has provided health insurance for all Americans age 65 and done so much more efficiently than private insurance. While Medicare may be a very popular program today, it was bitterly fought by the right when it was proposed. (Ronald Reagan even produced commercials claiming that the single-payer health care system for the elderly would lead to a dictatorship.)

Senator Lieberman "Scum of the earth" !!
It's time to vote this SCUM out of office...He does not support "WE THE PEOPLE"!!! He supports "They the Corporations"....

Some states and business just dont get it!!
The lure is the supposed promise that privatization will deliver a short-term budget fix. Yet many privatization efforts, as this Dispatch will highlight, have cost taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars and botched services for the public. That privatization continues to move forward despite such a poor track record reflects pure ideology that the private market delivers the most efficient outcomes, even without demonstrable results. Some states may also be making the more cynical decision to pursue immediate short-term infusions of capital at the expense of long-term financial cost in pursuit of short-term electoral gains. In any case, privatization comes at the expense of long-term investments in the community, sustainable budget policy and public accountability.

Today is the 80th aniversary of "Black Tuesday"!!
80 years ago today, on October 29th, 1929, Wall Street saw the worst day in its history. The shock of "Black Tuesday" came to an end, but the misery of the "Republican" Great Depression was just beginning. As a result of the disaster that followed three successive Republican administrations - and their cutting regulations and dropping taxes on the most wealthy from over 70 percent to under 30 percent - the Roosevelt administration through most of the 1930s re-regulated the economy and raised taxes on the very rich back up to 91 percent. That led to fifty years of growth and prosperity, which came to an end with Ronald Reagan re-introducing the Harding/Cooledge/Hoover tax cuts and supply-side economics. Hopefully the Obama Administration will soon learn the lesson of the last Republican Great Depression and follow in FDR's footsteps.

Letter carriers join health care picket
Led by President Rolando, a group of about 15 NALC officers, members and Headquarters staff joined an AFL-CIO rally and picket Thursday afternoon outside a Washington hotel where health insurance executives were hatching new plans to torpedo health care reform. AFL-CIO President Rich Trumka led a crowd of picketers in a two-block march to the hotel, where the insurance execs were huddled with their lobbyists. Big insurance has spent tens of millions to block or water down reforms and the message from the workers was simple: Get out of the way of real health care reform.

Privatizing jobs at West Point would be waste of money, says GAO...
Another example that privatizing government is not cheaper!!!!"The GAO study proves just what we suspected- that outsourcing these jobs does not save money or create a more skilled workforce, but does just the opposite," said Schumer. "The army should rip up their plans to privatize these jobs and let these men and women who have dedicated their lives to West Point do what they do best. The report comes out at an opportune time, and we will certainly be sharing it with the congressional committee deciding the fate of this study."

GAO says private contractors not cheaper...
After 7 years and likely millions of dollars in consultant fees and staff time, the Army could not provide any evidence to GAO that a contractor is more efficient than the federal employees. GAO gives agencies plenty of deference in procurement decisions, but federal rules require these decisions to be reasonable, consistent with stated evaluation factors, and adequately documented. The Army failed all three tests.

  • Democratic underground is reporting that Goldman Sachs has a bonus bonanza - $23 billion in 2009 - double the bonus pool paid to employees in 2008. How much is $23, billion? It could have paid for 460,000 full paying students to Harvard University for one year, or 115,000 for four years. It could have paid health insurance for an American family 1.7 million times. As Goldman pays it's biggest bonuses ever to employees it won't pay much in taxes either-only about 1 percent, according a prominent tax lawyer, "They have taken steps to ensure that a lot of their income is earned in lower-tax jurisdictions."

    PHYSICANS FOR NATL. HEALTH CARE!!!

Physicians for a National Health Program is a single issue organization advocating a universal, comprehensive single-payer national health program. PNHP has more than 17,000 members and chapters across the United States. Since 1987, we've advocated for reform in the U.S. health care system. We educate physicians and other health professionals about the benefits of a single-payer system--including fewer administrative costs and affording health insurance for the 46 million Americans who have none. Our members and physician activists work toward a single-payer national health program in their communities. PNHP performs ground breaking research on the health crisis and the need for fundamental reform, coordinates speakers and forums, participates in town hall meetings and debates, contributes scholarly articles to peer-reviewed medical journals, and appears regularly on national television and news programs advocating for a single-payer system. PNHP is the only national physician organization in the United States dedicated exclusively to implementing a single-payer national health program.
The U.S. spends twice as much as other industrialized nations on health care, $7,129 per capita. Yet our system performs poorly in comparison and still leaves 45.7 million without health coverage and millions more inadequately covered. This is because private insurance bureaucracy and paperwork consume one-third (31 percent) of every health care dollar. Streamlining payment through a single nonprofit payer would save more than $400 billion per year, enough to provide comprehensive, high-quality coverage for all Americans.
